Arch of Triumph in Chisinau is located in the Great National Assembly Square, on the Stefan cel Mare and Holy Stefan Boulevard, in the Cathedral Park of the capital of the Republic of Moldova. The work is an architectural monument, it is located on the public sidewalk and can be visited free of charge. You cannot enter the arch, you can pass under it.
Arch of Triumph in Chisinau is also called "Holy Gates". Under the USSR it was called "Victory Arch". The Triumphal Arch in Chisinau is an architectural and historical monument of national importance. It was erected to commemorate the victory of the Russian army over the Ottoman troops in the War of 1806-1812. To the right of the Triumphal Arch, on the other side of the Cathedral Park , is the Orthodox Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral. Opposite Arch of Triumph is the Government House in Chisinau. The Arch of Triumph in Chisinau was built in 1841 by chief architect Luca Zaușkevici and was inspired by the ones in Rome.

Arch of Triumph is square in plan, with harmoniously interlocking architectural structures and a height of 13 meters. The first level, represented by the 4 pillars, is carved in Corinthian style, while the upper level is decorated in classical style, with a mechanical clock mounted on the front, illuminated at night. Inside the arch is a bell which was cast from the metal of Turkish cannons captured in the war.
