1. Statue of Stephen the Great

Statue of Stephen the Great was erected in 1928 and is the work of local sculptor Plamadeala. We cross from the Cathedral right in front of the statue of Stephen the Great, located in the corner of the Central Park. The statue of Stephen is mounted on a pedestal about 2 meters high, the statue itself measures another 2 meters high, so we can say that Stephen watches over his people from above. The white pedestal is surrounded by a girdle with the coat of arms of Moldova, the bourul. In his right hand, Stephen is leaning on his sword, and in his left hand he is holding a raised cross. An obligatory place to immortalize in a few pictures.

2. Writers' Alley

In 1885, a bust of Aleksandr Pushkin was erected on a pedestal in the park. In 1958 the Classics Alley was laid out, where there are 12 busts of Romanian writers, sculpted by Plămădeală. After the 1990s other busts were added. Thus the Classics Alley became Writers' Alley.

The alley is lined with bronze busts of Dimitrie Cantemir, Nicolae Milescu Spătarul, Constantin Stamati, Gheorghe Asachi, Gheorghe Asachi, Costache Negruzzi, Alexandru Donici, Alecu Russo, Alexandru Hâjdeu, Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu, Vasile Alecsandri, Ion Creangă and Mihai Eminescu, Nichita Stanescu, Adrian Paunescu and others, erected on red granite posts.
