1. Romanian perfumes

The exhibits in the collection are both Romanian and foreign, brands with names, some extinct, others in bloom.

Certainly this museum also has a value in the true sense of the word because it represents a collection of old, famous perfumes, with "history".

I was impressed by the old Romanian perfumes and in general everything that was Romanian. You may wonder at my interest in brands such as Miraj, Romarta, Farmec, Doina, Femina, Tabac, Do-Re-Mi, Nivea, Jubileu, Doina, but these are names that appeared in the communist years in the bathrooms and closets of the Romanians and as any return to youth and childhood is pleasant, it produces a click. But what about the eau de cologne from the Regina Maria Perfumery on Calea Victoriei?

2. Foreign perfumes

And let's cross the border... still keeping in touch with our country .... We will discover the "eau de cologne" appreciated by King Charles I, made in Cologne, in Germany, where the word "cologne" comes from (Cologne is the French name for Koeln).

The "oldest" exhibit - from 1852 - is linked to the name of the House of Luban. It is a 200 ml perfume packed in a box.

The "most appreciated" perfume is part of the "Mon Budoir" collection of Houbigant in Paris and is the "chosen" fragrance of the Queen Mari.

Many bottles have their own stories such as: ... belonged to him .... liked him ... famous names are mentioned... Grace Kelly ... Napoleon Bonaparte.

Known names: Yves Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci...

3. Other perfumes

In order to have a correct picture and not to go with wrong expectations to this museum you have to know that it is a very small one, a room of not 10 square meters with showcases, and these liquor jewels can not be .... smelled ... orwhatever!
