The Paradise Forest is located on the administrative territory of Poienari, Baia de Fier commune, Gorj county. It is located 47 km from Târgu Jiu, which can be reached by road in 45 minutes via DN67. It is right on the highway. You can park at the DC26 entrance, which forms to the right. You can visit at any time.
Forest of Paradise is also known as Colorful forest. The latter name seems more appropriate to me. It is a project by the artist Mihai Țopescu. The project is called "Land Art" and is part of the "Manifest for Nature" cycle.
This project is an artistic cry against deforestation abuses in Romania. The artist thought to paint the tree trunks of the Dumbrava Forest in different colors, with weather-resistant paints. It is a place where you can enjoy the view, rest for a few minutes, get closer to nature and love it.

Worth a stop at Forest of Paradise or Colorful forest near Baia de Fier. On the DC28, which forms at the edge of the forest, you can continue for another 1 km to the Upside-Down Cottage and the Witches' Castle.
