1. Plants by sectors
European Plants Sector
The focus is on temperate zone flora. Plants that grow in the forests and plains of central and southern Europe are on display, as well as mountain species from alpine regions. Examples include lilies, carnations, mountain lilies, mountain lilies and peonies.
Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Sector
On display here are plant species that have been used throughout history for medicinal purposes, but also to obtain essential oils or as ingredients in various culinary preparations. Examples: lavender, mint and basil, sage, others.
Aquatic Plants Sector
This area is dedicated to plants that grow in water or wetlands and is a perfect place to study the relationship between plants and the aquatic environment. Examples: lotus, poppies, others.
Mountain Plants Sector
Here the garden is home to species from mountain regions with a cooler climate and a biodiversity adapted to the harsher conditions. These plants are interesting for their adaptations to cooler temperatures and poorer soils.
