1. History
The story of PSV Eindhoven goes back to 1913, when the Philips company founded a sports team for its employees. The name PSV stands for „Philips Sport Vereniging” (Philips Sport Association) and over the decades the club has become one of the symbols of Eindhoven and one of the most important names in Dutch football.
The team's success grew steadily in the second half of the 20th century, with PSV winning numerous Dutch league titles and national trophies. The absolute moment of glory came in the 1987-1988 season, when the club won the European Champions Cup, Europe's most prestigious inter-club competition.
To preserve and capitalize on this impressive sporting legacy, the PSV Museum was created, a space dedicated to the history of the club, its great achievements and the players who have contributed to building its legend. Today, the museum offers visitors a journey through over a century of tradition, passion and footballing excellence.
From early equipment and black-and-white photos to European trophies and modern interactive exhibits, each room tells a part of the story of a club that has influenced both Dutch sport and European football.
