About the Museum of Illusions

Museum of Illusions in Vienna has duplicates in several cities around the world. For example, the one in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) is clearly superior in terms of what it has to offer, another similar museum is in Bucharest, called Museum of the Senses. I also saw a museum of illusions in Zadar (Croatia). In the Museum of Illusions you enter a world where nothing is what it seems. The revolving tunnel and logic games complete the museum's offer.

1. Moving shapes

Several illusions are generated by similar shapes on a black and white background. The resulting images appear to move. You will also find illusions due to the combination of colors.

2. Illusions with mirrors and dimensions

Other attractive illusions are the one generated with mirrors, such as the kaleidoscope, the partial superimposition of 2 faces, the head on a plate or the child much bigger than the adult.

3. Highlights

Let's move on to the most interesting illusions, in my opinion. The rotating tunnel is a bridge installed in a dark tunnel that you have to walk through, where the rotation of the tunnel is simulated by lights. This effect, thanks to the imaginary centrifugal force, throws you off balance. Another interesting illusion is that of a person standing on a chair even though they are sitting normally on the ground, or two people sitting on top of each other, head to head. These illusions or images can be immortalized from marked points in the museum hall. The logic games are also very interesting, with unlimited access.
