1. The church wall, courtyard and exterior

Moldovița Monastery is surrounded by a thick stone enclosure wall with a corner tower. At the entrance is the bell tower. In the monastery wall are built the nuns' cells. In the courtyard there is a bust of Petru Rareș.

The architecture of the church contains Byzantine and Gothic elements. The exterior murals are famous, including The Tree of Jesse and The Siege of Constantinople.

2. Inside the Annunciation Church

The interior frescoes show in the votive painting the founder of the church, Prince Petru Rareș and his family. In the vault of the church is painted the icon of the Virgin. The most relevant paintings in the church are the Virgin and Child, the Crucifixion, the Annunciation and the Passion.
