Circuit Pucioasa - Bezdead, Dâmbovița

Walk in Dâmbovița county

We have proposed the route Pucioasa - DJ710 - Trovantii in the Bela area - Miculesti - Malul de rasuna in Bezdead - back on DJ710 and then on DJ715 - Buciumeni - DN71 - Pucioasa.

1. Trovans from Bela - Miculești area

In the Bela - Miculesti area near Pucioasa on the DJ710 we find trovanti even on the village gates. Some "pietroaie" are painted yellow.

But what are the troubadours? They are strangely shaped stones, as if incompletely worked. From a scientific point of view, trovants are agglomerations of pebbles of different sizes, bound together by carbonate cement. These stones grow over time. The growth of trovans can be likened to the formation of pearls. They are also called "living stones", precisely because they are constantly growing from the core outwards, the trovantii gaining a few good centimeters in 1000 years...

Trovantii from Bela - Miculesti area can be found on land or in the Bizdidel riverbedon the bank or even in the water. To see the trovantii of Bizdidel we descend from the DJ to the river bed about 100 meters on cart tracks. The Bizdidel is a few meters wide, and in general the water is not more than knee deep. For those amateurs who want to explore the area more than we did can walk directly through the water. There are no markings or even makeshift signposts to indicate the existence of the trout or the path to them.

2. Resounding shore

We continued by car to Bezdead, a commune composed of several villages: Brosteni, Magura, Tunari, Valea Morii and Bezdead. It's a village situated along the road. Bizdidel will always be on our right.

Bezdeadul is situated halfway between the Ialomite valley in the west and the Prahova valley in the east, about 15 km in both directions. Bezdead is in a depression surrounded by hills and pastures, where some villages have developed with beautiful villages. We are about 500 meters above sea level and the surrounding hills reach 1000 meters. Bezdead occupies an area of 58 square kilometers and has 5000 inhabitants.

On the left we pass St. Nicholas Church, on the right the Town Hall, then again on the left a small parking lot and we arrive near the end of the village at the signpost Malul de rasuna. This is a vertical slope with pronounced horizontal striations that we notice on the left side of the road, parallel to it for several hundred meters. Its name comes from the echo that the cliff wall produces, propagating the sound 200 meters away. "Malul de răsună" is also mentioned by Alexandru Vlahuta in Romania Pitoreasca. In front of the panel we ask a village woman how we can get closer to the "malul de resonuna". She guided us through a courtyard with tall grass. Pictures, break, wet feet from the dew and back to the car.

We chose to go back to Pucioasa on a detour road to admire other villages and views.

Conclusion

In Pucioasa - Bezdead circuit, I liked the chosen route and especially the villages on the county roads.Surprising little known objectives such as "Malu de rasuna" or the trovantii of Bizdidel.
