Episcopal Cathedral was built at the end of the 19th century in Byzantine-Romanesque style. It is spectacular because of its height and the blue color of the exterior painting. The interior is painted in oil.
In front of the cathedral Statue of Alexandru Ioan Cuza.
The former Vedea Forest is now called Vedea Forest Park. It is best reached from Ion Creanga street. Many beautiful flower arrangements greet us from the entrance. Nearby is a parking lot for cars.
A map of the entire park located on the entrance walkway as well as signposts at the intersections help orientation in this green space.
The park has playgrounds, many resting places with shade, sports fields, gazebos and barbecue areas.
I loved the ambient music that leads us through the park. Once we arrived in the Vedea Forest Park, we can't help but make our way to the banks of the Vedea River.
I recommend a walk in the cozy park, which is very clean and well kept.
Alexandria does not offer a wealth of tourist attractions. It has a museum, a park in the center, another park on the Vedea river and a beautiful cathedral.
All the best!
