1. Cliff

The best starting base in the circuit is on Danube Cliff. The fact that we found it under reconstruction means that before long it will again be full of tourists and locals out for a stroll or in transit. Strolling along the promenade has a charm thanks to the Danube. Situated on the right bank of the river, it offers nice views of the shipyard, the harbor, the entrance to the delta, with ships and boats anchored or at the shore in navigation.

6. Aquarium

Address: 1, 14 November Street

Visiting hours: Tuesday - Sunday 9 am - 6 pm

It is the most appreciated and popular tourist attraction in the city. Ecotouristic Museum Center "Danube Delta"is the largest aquarium in our country. The aquarium is home not only to Danube and Black Sea fish but also to corals and exotic marine life. In addition to the aquarium, in this museum you can learn about the fauna and flora of this corner of the country with a climate different from the rest of our country, the climate of the Dobrogean steppe, where many endemisms live.

The museum building was under extensive renovation, which is why the picture is not the best.

10. Old Center

Old Center in Tulcea is centered on and around Decebal and Victoriei streets and is very well preserved here with 19th century palaces in exceptional condition. I walked along these streets admiring dozens of buildings.

We leave the old streets towards the main artery, parallel to the Danube, where we read on a block of flats an administrative declaration in plain sight.

My impressions

Tulcea It retains an old, but that beautiful 19th-century feel. The Aquarium, the Independence Monument and Avramide House are the top sights of Tulcea. The very fact that they have preserved old values, including streets and buildings, leads me to the opinion that the city deserves better maintained and especially well publicized and well returned to the mass tourist circuit.

Visit also Danube Delta Ecotouristic Museum Center from Tulcea and Enisala Medieval Fortress or Enisala Boxwood Reserve or Chubby Cape and Argamu Fortressm from Jurilovca.

All the best!
