1. Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Cathedral

We start the walk from Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul - imposing and spectacular. It is located in the civic center of the city, on Dacia Boulevard.

We stroll along Dacia Boulevard. A few shady benches are occupied in the evening by young people or those who want to have something to eat outside. A little to the left of this main thoroughfare is city stadium. In the area of the blocks, the boulevard has at the beginning 2 lanes and is lighted, then follow the houses and the road has only one lane in each direction. The city looks like a classic socialist-built city.

We pass a beautiful trout and a fountain, a spring with drinking water.

2. Professor Constantin Nastase Ethnographic Museum

At the first roundabout intersection, a kind of Y-junction, follow the right side for 100 meters and you reach the Cula Racoviță. The stable belonged to the boyar Racoviceanu. It was built in 1806, it is tall, with a storey, solid, simple, built for defense against outlaws and foreign predators. Today it hosts Professor Constantin Nastase Ethnographic Museum, which presents about 1200 exhibits from all parts of the country. In the museum courtyard you can find giant wooden spoon, registered in the Guinness Book of Records, measuring 17,79 m long and 1,50 m maximum width. It was made in 14 days by folk craftsmen Ion and Gheorghe Rodos. The spoon is decorated with traditional folk motifs and the town's logo.
