1. Preparation

In the planetarium, take the stairs to the left of the entrance hall. On the top floor you enter a hallway where you wait for the time to enter the projection room. In the hallway are images of the planets of the solar system. We are instructed that during the viewing you are seated only, leaning back in a chair and looking at the hemispherical dome on which the movie will be projected.

2. Watching

I volunteered to accompany several children from my daughter Denisa's class (12). We watched the movie The Origin of Life. The movie tackles one of the most profound questions of life science, the origins of life in the Universe. It starts with the Big Bang, then shows the chemical reactions in the Universe, the formation of stars and solar systems, and the first life on Earth. In part two we learn about the search for new life in the Universe.

A foray into the world of the stars at the Planetarium in Pitesti is interesting and welcome.
