2. The gate, the new church and the spring
Upon entering the Crucea Monastery, visitors are greeted by a simple wooden and stone gate, which marks the passage into a quiet space dedicated to prayer and recollection. From here, a large, well-maintained courtyard opens onto a large, well-kept new church, a church under development, designed to complement the old wooden church and provide more space for worshippers.
Near the church is also a landscaped spring, known by locals for its clean water and peaceful atmosphere. Many visitors stop here for a few moments of relaxation, to drink cold water or to admire the natural landscape surrounding the monastery.
Together, the entrance gate, the new church and the spring form a short but pleasant route, which introduces the visitor to the tranquility and simplicity of Crucea Monastery.
