Ossetian Village Museum can be visited in Negrești-Oaș, Satu Mare county, on Livezilor 3-5, daily between 9-17. Admission costs 5 ron. Free parking is available next to the museum.

Four houses are better showcased. Single-cell house in Gherța Mica is made of oak beams and thatched with thatch, which is the most common type of roof in the area. Betea House in Racșa it has three rooms called the tindă, the house and the pantry. Contra House in Vama is a pottery workshop with pillars and is covered with tiles. House in Moișeni is tricellular and made of beams obtained by splitting oak wood and splitting them with axes, the roof is made of hay.
The first description of the wooden church in Lechința dates from 1775. It is built of wooden beams on a stone plinth and covered with shingle. It has a nave, pronaos and altar. You can visit inside.
Ossetian Village Museum is an interesting open-air museum where you can discover the traditional houses of Țara Oașului. The stars of the museum are the wooden church in Lechința, the dancing mushroom and the pălincia. A 30-60 minute visit to the museum is worthwhile.
