From Capul Doloșman a path leads north through the thistle thickets to the spectacular cliff of the Doloșman Hill. We pass through the ruins of an ancient city. It's Orgame Fortress or Argamum. First, here was the Greek fortress of Orgame between the 7th century BC and the 6th century AD. Orgame was the first Greek colony on the territory of Romania. After the Roman conquest of Dobrogea, the fortress became Argamum. The Western Gate, the Greek necropolis and three basilicas can be identified. In Basilica I we admire a large amphora partially buried. The waterfront overlooks Lake Razelm.
Chubby Head and Argamum Fortress looks unkempt. It's a place with a rich history that should be restored and enhanced.
